I’m best known for being a long-time member of the band Marillion, who Ijoined for their second album Fugazi released in 1984. Prior to that I was an in-demand session drummer.

I studied percussion at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and, aged 18, played in the orchestra for the musical Hair.

My first professional band was Darryl Way’s Wolf.  Later I toured and recorded with guitarist Gordon Giltrap. I played drums for former Genesis Guitarist Steve Hackett on two of his solo studio albums and as part of his touring band.
